* Note: A license is not required to fish in the District waters of the Potomac and Anacostia Rivers if you are under 16 or 65 years or older.

Instructions for Using the Application for a District of Columbia Fishing License

This online application is used to apply for a DC Fishing License. Key in the information in the application form, print, sign and date the form. Enclose a check or money order made payable to the "DC Treasurer". The exact amount of license only will be accepted. Checks must be preprinted with full name and address. Make sure to include a self-addressed, business size envelope with two first class stamps for each license requested. Your request will be returned unprocessed if you fail to provide adequate postage. Please allow 3 to 4 weeks to receive your license by mail.
