District of Columbia State Planning Grant
for the Uninsured
Collaborating Agencies
The State Center for Health Statistics
Administration serves as the clearinghouse
for vital records and as the District's state agency for
providing official health data to other local, state,
and federal agencies. The Center's responsibilities are
divided among three divisions: Vital Records, Research
and Analysis, and Health Information and Business
Systems.
The Urban Institute is a nonprofit,
nonpartisan policy research and educational
organization. It was founded in 1968 to examine the
social, economic, and governance problems facing the
nation. Institute analysts provide information and
analysis to public and private decision makers to help
them address these challenges. It also strives to raise
citizen understanding of the issues and tradeoffs in
policy making.
