Career Brief
Robert A. Malson is an attorney and the president of the
District of Columbia Hospital Association. He is a
member of the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan
Washington Board of Trade and is chairman of the
Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (COG)
Bioterrorism Task Force. US Department of Health and
Human Services Secretary Tommy Thompson appointed him to
the Secretary’s Advisory Council on Public Health
Preparedness and he serves as a member of the Department
of Homeland Security’s Critical Infrastructure
Protection Initiative. He is a member of the Board of
Directors of the Chemical and Biological Arms Control
Institute.
Mr. Malson has served as counsel to the United States
Senate Judiciary Committee and associate director of the
White House Domestic Policy Staff. He received a
Bachelor of Arts in political science and economics, cum
laude, from Howard University and his Juris Doctor from
the Harvard Law School.
