The DC Board of Chiropractors regulates chiropractic practice and administers and enforces the law. The Board also evaluates applicants' qualifications, administers examinations, and recommends regulations, standards, and procedures. The Board issues licenses, requests investigations, conducts hearings, and implements disciplinary and/or remedial action where indicated. The Board also prepares the annual report to the Mayor. The Board consists of five members: three chiropractic physicians, one medical physician from the Office of Public Health, and one consumer member. Licenses expire on December 31 of even years.
