Special Services for Lesbian, Bisexual, Gay and Transgender Persons
Addiction Prevention and Recovery Administration

APRA funds and coordinates the only state/local government funded continuum of care designed specifically for inner-city/ indigent Gay Men, Lesbian Women, Bisexual and Transgender substance abusers in the country.

Services:



Outpatient treatment co-located with primary medical care (for persons living with HIV), Lesbian health services, case management and mental health services. Specific services include assessment/ screening, individual & group counseling, health education and urine screening

Inpatient medical detoxification with emphasis on multiple diagnoses. Services include; psychiatric assessment/ diagnosis; psychosocial assessment; group and individual counseling, crisis intervention, community resource education, speaker's bureau, culturally sensitive referrals.
