Angler Information Network
The Fisheries and Wildlife Division works closely with the District's anglers to obtain and distribute information about the state of local aquatic ecosystems. Anglers are an important link in the monitoring of area rivers. Their observations often provide information about aquatic systems. The Fisheries and Wildlife Division actively seeks this information by conducting annual angler surveys and keeping open communications with local sports fishermen. Additionally, several new resources are offered to anglers, such as a new Fishing Report Hotline, Citation Awards for those great catches, and a Geographic Information System map of hot fishing spots. By maintaining open communications, anglers and the Fisheries and Wildlife Division can work together to protect our valuable resource.
