Angler Survey
The Fisheries and Wildlife Division conducts an annual angler survey. In the past the survey has been conducted by telephone interviews and on location interviews with local anglers. This year we will also expand our survey to include an on-line format, which anglers who have a valid District of Columbia fishing license will be able to access. The survey collects information on angling effort, catch and harvest, species preference, fish consumption, angler demographics, angling expenditures, and other parameters. It is a comprehensive study on the recreational fisheries resources of the District of Columbia and any detectable trends that are pertinent for the successful management of these valued resources.

On-line Angler Survey
In 1999 the District of Columbia's Fisheries and Wildlife Division will conduct its first annual angler survey on-line. This survey is designed for anglers who use the District's water resources and possessed a valid District fishing license in the past year. If you would like to participate in the survey click here.
