Mission Statement

The Office of Certification, Licensing and Registration ensures that appropriate and quality goods and services are made available to providers for the administration of services to the citizens and visitors of the District of Columbia.

Objective

The objective of the Office of Certification, Licensing and Registration (through timely mailing, reviewing and processing completed applications for distribution to the registrants) is to ensure the health, welfare and safety of citizens and visitors in the District of Columbia.

Program Description

The Office of Certification, Licensing and Registration mails and reviews completed applications for licensure and/or of registrants who prescribes, distributes, sales, conducts research, manufactures and wholesales controlled substances and medical devices in the District of Columbia. 

The Office reviews approved inspection documents for licensure and/or registration of equipment used in medical settings and facilities that sell and retrofit mechanical devices.

The Office produces selective reports for distribution to consumers, upon request.
