DC Dental, Dental Hygiene, and Psychology Licenses Extended

The DC Department of Health has extended dental, dental hygiene, and psychology licenses until February 28, 2000, for all licensees who held a license in good standing as of December 31, 1999. This extension will ensure continuity of care while an assessment is made of the transition of renewal processing from the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs to a contractor, Assessment Systems, Inc. (ASI).

The Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA) mailed renewal applications to licensees in November with instructions to return the applications to ASI. This process is part of the upgrading of the license data base and transition to the Department of Health of renewal processing for health professional licenses.
