Immunization Program Services


The Immunization Program achieves its mission and goal through education, immunization record assessments, direct vaccine services, disease surveillance, outbreak control and a fully operational immunization registry. The Immunization Program provides:
  • Provides free vaccines through the Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program providers enrolled in the VFC can vaccinate children who:
    • Are eligible for Medicaid; 
    • Have no health insurance; 
    • Have health insurance, but it does not cover immunizations AND go to a federally qualified health center
    • Are Native American or Alaskan Native.
    •  
  • Provides free immunizations to eligible children and adults through special walk-in evening clinics* and community-supported events. 
  • Conducts assessments for children in licensed child-care, Head Start Centers, all schools and all grades.
  •  
  • Conducts an annual retrospective survey from kindergarten school entry data to assess completion of initial vaccine series by 2 years of age.
