DC Healthy Families
Healthy Families Update

Citywide Application Distribution

Applications are available at a number of sites around the city. The display boxes are regularly refilled to ensure that a sufficient number of applications are available. To date, over 300,000 applications have been distributed around the city.

1 (888) 557-1116 Health Line

The 1 (888) 557-1116 Health Line staff answer questions about the DC Healthy Families program and assist with completing DC Healthy Families applications. The health line has bilingual (English/Spanish) staff and a TDD/TTY telephone line for the hearing-impaired. To date, over 50,000 calls have been received by the health line; half of the calls were about DC Healthy Families.

Community Training Seminars

Community training seminars are scheduled monthly. The seminars are designed for community health professionals, community-based organizations, social service providers, and community leaders. The training provides information about eligibility, locations where applications are available, and instructions for completing applications. To date, more than 500 people have been trained.
