Internship Program

Responsibilities

  • Each program manager must complete an Intern Request Form. This form must be submitted to the Special Projects Coordinator.
  • Each program manager must develop a written description of the scope of work for each intern position, outlining specific duties and tasks.
  • Work assignments should be related to DC Government operations only, and should be determined following careful consideration of each intern's skills, knowledge, and experience.
  • All offices and administrations employing interns should monitor students' assignments and provide the guidance and support necessary to promote their growth and development.
  • Interns should be evaluated quarterly, based on the objectives outlined in the description of the scope of work.
